Privacy Policy

Fitluma is operated by Swarup Sarkar (“Fitluma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Privacy Policy explains how Fitluma collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information when you use the Fitluma mobile app (Google Play package com.swarupsarkar.fitluma) and the related website at fitluma.in. Fitluma is operated from India.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information created through your use of the app, and limited technical information needed to operate Fitluma.

Account Information

Your email address, and a display name if you choose to provide one. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile information from Google. We never receive or store your Google password.

Fitness Profile

Information you enter during onboarding and can change at any time:

Sex and date of birth
Height and weight, and your preferred units
Training goal, experience level and available equipment
Training days per week and dietary preference
An optional profile photo

Training Data

The content you create in the app: workout plans, workout logs including exercises, sets, repetitions and weights, personal records, bodyweight entries, custom exercises, and any Instagram reel links you save to your collection.

Technical and Usage Information

A device push notification token if you enable reminders, and product analytics events such as screens opened and features used. Analytics events are pseudonymous, are linked to your account identifier rather than your email address, and error reports are stripped of email addresses, access tokens and server addresses before they are sent.

Health-Related Information

Your height, weight, date of birth, sex, dietary preference and training history describe your body and your physical activity. We treat this as sensitive information. We use it only to operate the features you asked for. We never sell it and we never use it for advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide the service. Recommending a suitable workout plan, storing your logs, deriving personal records and progress charts, and syncing your data across your devices.
To operate your account. Signing you in, keeping you signed in, and keeping your data separate from other users’ data.
To manage subscriptions. Determining whether your account has Free or Premium access, and how much of a trial remains.
To send notifications you enabled. Workout and inactivity reminders, which you can turn off in the app or in your device settings.
To improve the app. Understanding which features are used, and diagnosing errors and crashes.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.

3. Service Providers and Sharing

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use the following providers to operate Fitluma. Each of them processes data only on our instructions.

Supabase — authentication, database and file storage. Handles your account, profile, training data and profile photo.
Google Play Billing — processes subscription payments. Google is the merchant of record. We receive your purchase and subscription status only, and never your card or payment details.
RevenueCat — manages subscription state and entitlements, using your account identifier and purchase status.
PostHog — product analytics, using pseudonymous usage events.
Firebase Cloud Messaging — delivers push notifications, using your device push token.
Google Sign-In — an optional sign-in method, providing your email address and basic profile.

We may also disclose information where we are legally required to do so, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud, abuse or a security incident.

4. Complimentary Trial, Google Play Billing and RevenueCat

Fitluma may provide eligible verified accounts with one complimentary 15-day Premium trial. The trial is created and tracked on Fitluma’s servers. It is not a Google Play free trial or introductory offer, requires no card or other payment method, does not automatically renew or convert into a paid subscription, and cannot result in an automatic charge. When the trial expires, the account returns to the Free plan unless the user separately purchases a subscription.

Optional Android subscriptions are processed by Google Play. Fitluma uses RevenueCat to validate purchase and Premium-access status. Google Play and RevenueCat may process the Fitluma account identifier, product, purchase, subscription, renewal, cancellation, refund and expiry information, together with required app and store information. Fitluma does not directly collect or store card or bank-account details.

Deleting a Fitluma account does not cancel a Google Play subscription or automatically delete transaction records held by Google Play or RevenueCat. Those providers may retain records for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution and service-integrity purposes.

5. International Transfers

Some of the providers listed above operate servers outside India. Where your information is transferred abroad, it remains subject to this Privacy Policy and to each provider’s contractual obligations to us.

6. Storage, Security and Retention

Your data is stored on Supabase infrastructure and protected by row-level access rules, so your records can only be read by your own authenticated account. Data is encrypted in transit.

The app also keeps a copy of your training data on your device so that it works without an internet connection. Signing out clears that local copy from the device.

We keep your information for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal information and training data are deleted from our systems. Backups and provider logs may retain copies for a short period before they expire. Subscription and transaction records held by Google Play and RevenueCat are retained separately, as described in Section 4.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Access and correction. Your profile and training data are visible and editable inside the app at any time.
Export. You can export your own data from within the app.
Deletion. You can delete your account and all associated data from within the app, or at fitluma.in/account-data-deletion.
Subscriptions. A paid subscription is managed and cancelled through your Google Play account, not through Fitluma.
Notifications. Reminders can be disabled in the app or in your device settings.
Grievances. If you are in India, you may raise a concern under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 by writing to swarupsarkardeveloper@gmail.com. We will respond within the period required by law.

8. Children’s Privacy

Fitluma is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it. If you are between 13 and 18, please use Fitluma with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app changes. The Effective Date at the top of this page always reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect.
